Government

The City of Vineland operates under the Mayor-Council Plan of New Jersey's Optional Municipal Charter Law, commonly called the Faulkner Act. There are two separate and co-equal power centers, each directly elected by the people; the mayor as chief executive, and the Council as the municipal legislature. Municipal elections are non-partisan.

The current Mayor of Vineland is Ruben Bermudez, whose term of office ends on December 31, 2016, along with all members of the City Council.

Below are the members of the Vineland City Council along with a list of the various boards, commissions, agencies and committees they serve. To view the next City Council agenda go to our public meetings page.
